Saudi Civil Defense warns of thunderstorms, dust storms

JEDDAH: Residents have been urged to take precautions against rainstorms and residue storms that are likely to affect a few districts between Friday and Monday by the Overall Directorate of Saudi Common Protection.

Based on information from the Public Focus of Meteorology, the association predicts that the Makkah region will be affected by moderate to heavy downpours that could result in heavy streams. It is anticipated that the regions of Taif, Maysan, Adham, Al-Khurmah, Al-Ardiyat, Turbah, Rania, Al-Muwayh, Qia, Khulais, Al-Kamil, Al-Jumum, Bahra, Al-Lith, and Al-Qunfudhah will be affected.

Al-Kharj, the capital, Al-Duwadmi, Shaqra, Al-Zulfi, Al-Majma’ah, Al-Quwa’iyah, Al-Ghat, Hotat Bani Tamim, Al-Aflaj, Thadiq, Ramah, Al-Muzahimiyah, Al-Diriyah, Dhurma, Huraymila, and Al-Dalam are all expected to survive in the Ri

Experts stressed the importance of avoiding areas where downpours congregate and swimming in hazardous locations.

Residents have been encouraged to adhere to media-proclaimed guidelines.

Additionally, it is anticipated that the regions of Asir, Al-Baha, Jazan, Najran, Madinah, Hail, Tabuk, Al-Jawf, the northern lines, Al-Qasim, and the eastern boundaries will be affected.

Dust storms are common in the Makkah region, including Jeddah and Rabigh, due to moderate rain and winds.

The Common Guard has emphasized the importance of staying out of areas where deluges congregate and not swimming in risky areas.

Occupants have been encouraged to follow the media’s instructions.
